Arjun Talwar, originally from India, moved to Poland ten years ago. With a desire to integrate into the community, he begins to make a film about his neighbors, which will turn out to be much more charming than it seems. One street in the center of Warsaw, which hides its mysteries, will become a portrait of modern Europe and people who live in the gap between past and present, imagined and real homeland.
Arjun Talwar grew up in Delhi. He first studied mathematics before being admitted to the cinematography department of the Polish Film School in Łódź. His short films have screened at various international festivals including Visions du Réel, the Big Sky Documentary Film festival, FID Marseille and Tampere. His first feature-length documentary, Der Esel hieß Geronimo (A Donkey Called Geronimo), premiered at DOK Leipzig and went on to be released in cinemas.
