“Lavander” is a personal documentary that follows director Mateja Raičković on a journey of healing and self-reclamation. Through intimate conversations, family encounters, and moments of reflection in nature, the film explores themes of vulnerability, trauma, connection, and inner strength. It is a quiet and emotional meditation on transformation and acceptance.
Mateja Raičković completed her undergraduate studies in directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje and earned her master’s degree in filmmaking at ELTE University in Budapest. She primarily works in documentary film and has participated in workshops such as Talent Camp (Jugendfilmtage, Zurich), Beldocs Balkan Young Talents, ACTive Creative Documentary School, BorderPass, and AJB DOC. “Lavender” is her most personal project to date.
