Glass, My Unfulfilled Life Is the tragi-comic coming of old age story of 52-year-old Rogier Kappers, who pursues his childhood dream: He wants to become a famous street musician on the glass organ, an instrument made of singing wine glasses.In the film we follow our (anti-)hero on his sometimes hilarious, yet always moving quest for fame, love and fortune. From building his own glass organ, to a passionate encounters with the world-famous composer Arvo Pärt; from the first steps as the street musician to disastrous adventure in Dubai; up to the never-expected ‘grand finale’…

About the author:
Rogier Kappers (1963) has worked as a documentary director and producer for over thirty years. He has a great love for documentaries about music. He won a Golden Calf (the highest Dutch Film Prize) with his feature length documentary “Lomax the Songhunter”. Among many other awards, this film was also nominated for an International Emmy Award. Next to his film career, Kappers started in 2016 a music career on his self-built glass organ. ‘Glass, My Unfulfilled Life’ is about this big adventures,which is filmed from the first day onward for seven years.
