I, KAĆA, GOT DIABETES SO WHAT NOW?

“I, Kaća, got diabetes, so what now?” is an intimate confession of a girl who was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 23, created as an assignment for a Documentary Film course. In the form of a conversation with herself and her mother, she examines the impact of the disease on her life. The film thematically explores the mental space occupied by the illness and the way she copes with the new circumstances.

About the author:

Kaća Žarić, born in 2000 in Podgorica, is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Directing in Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje. During her education, she has directed two short feature films, “Mother’s Sun” and “Soup,” as well as a biopic, “All That I Am Not.”
